Team Building programs from
Bryan Quinn Productions

A well built team working together.

The demand for team building programs is increasing exponentially each year. Bryan Quinn Productions has been satisfying this need since 1992. Our president, Bryan Quinn, has designed team building programs to unify and inspire groups of all sizes. Whether you are looking for a half day experiential adventure, or a stand-alone activity/ice-breaker for a thirty-minute “break-out” session, Bryan has a program that is sure to suit the needs of your group.

From problem solving challenges to in-depth programs based on reality TV shows, we developed dozens of captivating programs such as Safari Sacramento, Ultimate Survivor, and Corporate Olympics. Regardless which program you choose, you will be amazed at how well your employees and co-workers join together to accomplish the tasks at hand.

The parade of flag bearers

Bryan Quinn is nationally recognized as an innovator in the field of interactive entertainment. He has lectured and taught entertainers all over the country how to facilitate team building events. He has written several articles on interactive entertainment for national trade publications. Bryan has been a featured presenter on the “Interactive Games Workshop” at the Nightclub and Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas.

You must trust your teammates

Research has proven that game play relieves stress and brings people together by sharing of experiences. Game play also increases a person’s ability to learn. Numerous studies have shown that entertained students learn more. An fun activity inspires employees to remain attentive, which increases retention of the subject matter. When employees are feeling positive about a training experience their brains make stronger perceptual maps, allowing them to sort information better and recall information with greater clarity.

Bryan understands that each company’s team building goals are different. If you ask people what they think “team building” is you get a wide variety of answers. Some feel that it’s getting better acquainted, others talk about building trust, still others say “bonding,” or learning how to solve problems as a group. And everyone agrees that there is an element of fun. In reality, team building is all of the above and more. All of our activities are designed to encourage group problem solving and communication in a playful and positively competitive atmosphere. And each program offers a diverse mix of challenges, some physical and others more cerebral.

A team goes for a walk

A good team building exercise creates positive interaction among a group of people, and in doing so enhances their ability to work effectively as a team when they return to the workplace. Interaction can be working together on a unique project (example: scavenger hunts), playing games like our Corporate Olympics, putting their heads together to solve a problem, or helping each other through a ropes course; the possibilities are practically endless.

Once you decide to engage your group in a team building event, the first question you need to answer is: what is my objective for this team building event? In other words, what should they take away from the experience? By answering this question, you focus on only the types of team building activities that will help you achieve that goal.

For Example:

  • If you are looking to energize a group of young salespeople you would probably consider a physical team competition that is pure fun, such as Corporate Olympics.
  • However, if that same group is also looking for group problem solving, you might consider an experiential adventure like Quest for Gold.
  • If you were looking for ways to bring a new group together for the first time or help two departments to be more cooperative, you might be more inclined to provide an activity that encourages people to talk to each other and share skills (an ice breaker).
  • If you wanted a group of executives to work more closely together, you might consider a ropes course challenge that increases trust and confidence.
  • If you were interested in focusing in on specific concepts like communication or customer service, you would be interested in a business simulation challenge (such as A Word From Our Sponsors or Mystery Movie Making).
  • If you were interested in reinforcing meeting or company information, you would definitely want to have an activity like The Ultimate Game Show.

teammates try to get out of a puzzling situation

Many companies claim to do team building, when in fact, most of them just rent out their games and inflatables, calling it a group event. Real team building means using and enhancing the team skills that are required at work as well as getting to know your team members and learning to work more efficiently together.

We understand that your objective is team building and training. This means that our facilitators can brief and thoroughly debrief your group for learning as part of any of our events. Our facilitators are not simply there to run and referee an entertaining game, unless that’s what you want from them.

EXPERIENTIAL ADVENTURES

Teammates immersed in the old west

These programs are designed to immerse your group in a themed activity for about half a day, beginning with a team assessment, the adventure itself, lunch or dinner, the debrief and finally the awards ceremony.

Each program starts with team assessment session which provides a positive process for: breaking down barriers, encouraging communication, starting the group problem solving and teamwork process, and providing real solutions to teamwork obstacles and operational issues.

After the goals of the exercise have been defined, the adventure begins...

Once all of the teams have completed the adventure, we will break for your group to enjoy a meal. You are welcome to arrange your own catering, or we will provide it for you.

Teammates work together to build the most words

Then after the meal, we will begin our customized debriefing session based on your input. Our debriefing sessions are interactive, allowing each team to assess their own strengths and opportunities for improvement as well as provide concrete ideas to enhance their performance in the future. This interactive format keeps everyone involved and actively learning throughout the process.

Finally, each team is presented with a framed team photo, participation certificates are handed out to each team member, and since it is a competition after all, awards are presented to the winning teams.

Here are descriptions of several of
