So why does this happen?

Your level of success in this experiment was predetermined by which side of your brain is your dominant side.

• If you were reading the words instead of saying the color, you are left brain dominant. You are most likely right handed, and tend to be more logical and analytical.

 

• If you were able to say the color instead of reading the word, you right brain dominant. You are probably left handed and you tend to be more creative and artistic.

 

• If you can do either one at your discretion, then you are really messed up! No seriously, you are left/right brain neutral and are ambidextrous or at least have ambidextrous tendencies.
